01) David R. Ellis (Shark Night 3D) will direct the live action adaptation of the Japanese anime Kite.

02) Mark Bomback will be reworking The Wolverine.

03) Here’s a nice photo montage for American Reunion.

04) Ben Affleck has begun filming for his movie Argo about the rescue of 6 American hostages in Iran.

05) John Moore (Max Payne) will direct Die Hard 5, which will have Bruce Willis return as John McClane and a yet to be named actor as his son, going to Russia.

06) A few shots of Superman on set.

07) David Koepp is writing the script for the remake of The Thin Man which will aim to have Johnny Depp starring. (rest_easy doesn’t like this)

08) Josh Brolin will star in Spike Lee’s remake of Old Boy.

09) Kenny Ortega (High School Musical) will direct the completely unnecessary Dirty Dancing remake and Maria Maggenti will write it.

10) Nick Nolte will be joining Ryan Gosling, Josh Brolin, Emma Stone, Mireille Enos and Anthony Mackie in Gangster Squad.

11) Sienna Guillory will return as Jill Valentine in Resident Evil: Retribution.

12) William Monahan (The Departed) will be working on the finished draft by Frank Miller for Sin City 2.

13) Again with William Monahan but this time, he and Martin Scorsese are developing The Gambler, a remake of the 1974 film starring James Caan.

14) The Thor dvd coming September 28th will have an Avengers short film which will be on other dvds to bridge the gap (if any) between their movies and The Avengers.

15) The Coen Brothers next movie will be a musical biopic called Inside Llewyn Davis based on the life of folk music guru Dave Van Ronk.

17) Eddie Murphy will host the 84th Academy Awards.

18) Bruce Willis and Arnold will have substantial roles in the sequel to The Expendables.

19) Steven Speilberg is getting financed from Fox and Dreamworks for Robopocalypse. Currently slated for a July 2013 release.

20) Seth Rogen won’t be in the Knocked-Up spin-off.

21) Here is a new poster for The Rum Diary.

22) Jacques Audiard has added Marion Cotillard to his new film Rust & Blood.

23) David Gordon Green’s mistake-of-a-remake Suspiria will draw influences from Black Swan.

Television

01) After February 28, 2012, Starz will no longer be on Netflix.

02) Hawthorne has been cancelled.

03) AMC has greenlighted Kevin Smith’s Secret Stash.

04) The Walking Dead Season 2 will premiere at 9pm on October 16th and will be 90 minutes. After that 6 one hour episodes then remaining 6 episodes begin February 12th.

05) Titanic: Blood and Steel 12 part mini series is planned for early next year. So far Chris Noth, Neve Cambell and Derek Jacobi are associated with this. It’ll take place during the ships construction and will concentrate on the sociopolitical climate of that era.

06) Romancing the Stone was looking to be remade but now it’s heading to NBC.

07) Another movie turning into television show.... Blue Brothers.

08) Fringe season 4 teaser!!!!!!

09) Hyde is about Grant Hyde who uses an experimental drug to improve his vision but then turns into something else entirely when he falls asleep. This will be brought to you by ABC.

Oh good, the esteemed director of Max Payne is lending his talents to one of the best and most successful movie franchises of all time. I guess I can stop worrying. :/

Totally though that was a brand new Fringe S4 trailer, but that's been out for awhile now.

I've had this pre-ordered for months, so if this gets pushed back I will be extremely disappointed. However, Amazon still has the release date as the 13th.

I work part time at Target and I was setting up the shelf labels for this today, it's definitely coning out on tuesday.

How did The Expendables get a sequel? The first was absolutely terrible.
