The Hank Costume Smells Like Lemons, Trust Me

We've discussed the pigeon at great length. It's our mascot of sorts and that comes from a bond we felt when we were trying to get this band off the ground. See, nobody wants pigeons around. Kids try to kick them. People cringe at their presence. But the pigeons don't give a fuck. Not only do they live where they aren't welcome, but they flourish. When we started this band, we felt, for a long time, that no one would have us or bands like us around and, like the pigeon, instead of running away, we built a home for ourselves right in front of the people that didn't want us there.

This Halloween, we want to give someone a chance to be Hank, our pigeon mascot. What we need you to do is make a video telling us why you're a pigeon. Tell us where in life you felt unwanted or unwelcome and tell us what you did about it. Put the video on YouTube, title it "I'm a Pigeon" and tag it with thewonderyears and mylifeasapigeon. Post those videos here in this Absolutepunk thread and we'll pick the best one. The winner will have the Travelin' Hank suit mailed to their house in time for Halloween (to be returned to us of course) and runners up will get prize packs from Glamour Kills and Into/It Clothing and Hopeless Records.

I so would love this costume for Halloween! I would totally not be sad anymore and I would be the rage at this pop punk party I'm attending. It totally is greater than or equal to the Ninja Turtle (specifically Leonardo) costumes I have.
