Also, I've heard way worse stuff from bands/artists who claim they worked years on to perfect.

Ke$ha genuinely loves classic rock/alternative artists so I'm not quite sure why anyone said she was doing this for some "cred" or whatever bullshit reason you think she's doing it for.

That could explain it.....it gives the song emotion, since it was just her singing with a little violin here and there.

This is actually quite good. I've moderately enjoyed some of her stuff, but didn't think she'd do this solid a job straight-singing. It's a bit affected, but I'm not sure anyone else has ever done a version that emphasizes the dramatic potential of the song this well. It usually gets read as a sarcastic kiss-off. Both takes are cool.

Have a suspicion half the people in this thread didn't listen.

you are probably right, but than again if they had listened this thread might not half turned out half as amazing as it has
