Oh at it's start yes. But fundementally speaking, apart from the image and style of punk, it was a passionate and pure reaction to bloated rock excess. The Ramones may have had their look but their music was made to bring rock music back to its simple origins with an emphasis on melody and an 'anyone-can-play' attitude. Grunge had its own image and style too. While it may not have been as prominent, grunge was also a look and a trend as much as punk was. It was an evolution of punk that became the cool thing to do. See 90s Bryan Adams. I just found it interesting that that poster seemed to only take one part of the 70s and 80s music scenes into account.
