He also kicked out Marty, who was the dude who 'supposedly' beat the shit out of his girlfriend a few years back.

is he still going to drum for Modest Mouse still? I absolutely love this band and can not wait for their b-sides release this summer! Need me some new MM tunes.

If he is, he needs to work on getting Jason from death cab kicked out and get his job. Then he can rule the indie scene. Monopoly I tell you!

Anyways, pretty interesting how lax he seems about asking the guys to leave because they won't be able to achieve the new sound or ideas he has.

When I saw them live last June they had two drummers so I don't know whether he's out of Modest Mouse or not.

i think that's a pretty cool idea. if you want to take your band in a different direction, why not try something like this? he said he still plans to work with them, but for this record he had a different direction.
