No, no, I totally agree that it showcased so much more musicianship, production, and original styles/experiments, but it's just like... Stories is the ORIGINAL, it made them... THEM. It's like "The Classic", it was a huge record for kids of the scene back then, and it's definately one of those records that when you put it on still takes you back. At least it does for everyone I know now, that I didn't even know then. It defined alot of what music was at the time, defined alot of kids' taste, defined the "scene" when it was still alive and pumping. Dude, The Greatest Fall Of All Time would be on the playlist of the peak of the music revolution that was 2003. That album's in the history books, it's just weird seeing someone disrespect it. It's kinda like what Your Favorite Weapon is for everyone who was around for it. Sure, Deja was a technically better produced, recorded, vocally, musically, but YFW will always stand on it's own as a huge, defining record. Ahh it's just weird that you don't love that record! But, to each their own.
