I.......can't understand the hype around this band. It sounds like pleasant music made for wealthy over-privileged white people who still try to cling to any Bohemian type of lifestyle. It's totally listenable but nothing special.

Eh you're looking too much into it. They just write some killer songs with great harmonies.

I'd like to think they're more than "nothing special," their musicianship is superior to most. Particularly vocally, they create some masterful harmonies.

Yeah, the harmonies are so beautiful, no homo. I can't wait to pick this cd up tomorrow.

obviously Loretta Lux inspired, but it's great to see Lux's technique translated to video. Grizzly Bear has become one of my top 3 favorite bands just with Veckatimest. I will say it, this album is the best album to be released in the past 5 years, maybe even the best album since Kid A. This is the new Pet Sounds. Without a single hesitation, ALBUM OF THE YEAR.
