Lorene Drive

Interviewed by
Lorene DriveState your name and duties in the band.

How did 2005 treat you guys as a band?

all our dreams came true in 05!! We got to record our first record with james, played a few TOC dates along with Warped, plus we got to tour with a ton of other amazing bands. Not to mention all the new friends we made.

What was your biggest accomplishment of the last year?

Everything!!! I wouldnt put one thing on the top.

I thought Romantic Wealth was an amazing album. How was it received by people? Is there anything you would change about it?

Most ppl have been dig'n it. We have had alot of haters, but mostly just music snobs that work for some gay website and only listen to 90's punk rock. For the most part the ppl coming to shows are really down...thats all that we care about.

We wish that we would of had a lil more time to write more newer songs for that album. Kris messed up his leg a month before, so we tossed more songs from our EP on the record than we wanted too.

How does your music stand out from bands with similar styles? What is a different aspect you have to offer?

Were just Rock n roll, plus we sweat alot.

When is the next album due out, have you began writing, and will you record with Paul Wisner again?

We have started writting new material. So far we have 3 tunes. This year we plan on hitting the road harder than last, so I would like to say early next year we will be back in the studio. We haven't spoke with james about the next record yet, but we would LOVE to do another album with him.

Is there any advice you could offer to younger, unsigned bands who look up to you guys?

Do what you love. Play as much as possible.

Who are some bands you look up to, or who have influenced you?

So many bands...Juliana Theory, Jimmy eat world, Refused, Lagwagon, Cave In, journey, Faith no more, NOFX, foo fighters, everytime i die.......

Has there been any offers from bigger labels to get your music more well known?

What can we expect from Lorene Drive in 2006?

Alot of touring, probably start playin some new jams at our shows....

I appreciate your time, do you have any parting words for our readers?

Don't hate....Appreciate :)

that interview was terrible and, at times, offensive.
