I forgot about ETID! Next to Weatherbox, that's absolutely one of my most anticipated for the rest of the year.

I want to do inappropriate things to Keith Buckley.

I'm really bothered seeing Manchester on everyone's list. It's an ok album, but definitely not the best of the year so far. I feel like people are just hoppin on the bandwagon, putting it on their list because they should. Am I the only one that thinks this record isn't amazing?! It's mediocre IMO.

Silversun Pickups- Swoon should be more recognized. This album is great.
The Dangerous Summer- Reach For The Sun deserves all the praise in the world. So good.
Dave Matthews Band- Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King
Rise Against- Appeal To Reason I know, I know, it came out last year but it's so good i'm putting it on this list. It might be on every favorite list I ever make.
P.O.S.- Never Better is hands down the best album of the year so far.

Really excited for Saosin, Brand New, Thrice, All Time Low (but only like 3 songs) and Mute Math. I gotta hunch that Say Anything might be a let down for me, but we'll have to wait and see.

So many great albums have come out this year. If I were to edit my list, Regina Spektor's "Far" would definitely be on there.

In addition to my list, I still need to listen to (and have high expectations for) Hot Leg, Manchester Orchestra, Marianas Trench, Regina Spektor, and mewithoutYou. I see those having potential to fit into the list.

And I'm excited for Motion City Soundtrack, Modest Mouse, Royksopp, Say Anything, and Muse. Can't think of anything else at the moment.

...or maybe people have it on their list because they actually like the music. it's fine (and encouraged) to have your opinion on the music itself, but i don't think it's fair to assume people are merely bandwagon hopping just because they like a record that had hype.
