For me, bands like NFG, blink, and TSL released songs that packed a punk punch but still had lyrics about breakups and the lovey dovey shit that I could easily relate to. When I listened to Nothing Personal, there was nothing of substance. I heard alot of generic guitar bits, autotuned vocals, and poppy beats. Not one of the songs even grabbed me lyrically. At least Boys Like Girls can grab me with a good set of lyrics (case and point, "Heels Over Head"). I honestly will never understand why people who are not 12-17 year old girls like this brand of pop(ular)-punk music. ATL have nothing to offer but bad haircuts, neon shirts, and sugary songs.
Not surprised by the mediocre review. Not gonna stop me from buying this CD though. I love every last cheesy fucking line these kids write. Its too catchy to give a crap.

Good review. I concur with almost everything.
Solid album. Nothing Personal is in my top 5 favorite albums of the year so far and "Weightless" is one of my favorite songs of 2009 too.
