That would be so awesome. Theres so much potential in that division. I'm with you with the penn vs stevenson, but thats if he wins against pellegrino. Otherwise, I would have to say penn vs florian. I would say penn vs huerta would be a hell of a fight, but he already has a fight scheduled.

Florian hasn't earned another shot yet IMO...If it's not Penn vs Stevenson, I'd expect a big name outsider like Gomi to fight Penn or maybe they'll rush Fisher (I could see Florian getting a shot if they throw him and Fisher into a contender match seeing as Fisher hasn't lost to anyone but Franca in a while and Florian last lost to Sherk), Huerta, or Edgar into a title shot because the regular plan has changed so much. The last thing the can do, if they're desperate, is give a title shot to Nate Diaz for winning TUF. I think this idea isn't very likely, but they could promote that whole contestant vs coach (even if he coached the other team) thing.

It should be Penn vs. Nick Diaz, since he did beat the 160 lb champ. It would be sweet though to see Penn vs. Gomi, even though BJ took care of him pretty easily last time they fought. That would unify the titles.

Oh yeah, I'm not too keen of the idea of giving him another title shot just yet, its just that huerta and stevenson have to win their fights first to get a title shot.

gomi's gotta be in there. i'd love the 8 man tourney, but it'll never happen...not when dana can spread those matchups over 2 years and get an extra $200 per person for the extra pay per views.

but in a perfect world, that would be such a great tourney.

For the LW title it will all come down to Penn... If Penn wants to stay at LW he will probably fight the Winner of Stevenson and Pellegrino... If he moves to 170 cause of Sherks pending suspension then I think the winner of Stevenson-Pellegrino will fight the winner of Fisher-Thomas for the title. Makes sense.
