Sparks The Rescue - 08.17.09

The following is a mini interview of generic questions that we posed to all bands that wanted to answer:

1. How did you get your band name? / 2. How did this band get started?
It came from a Nicholas Sparks book Called "The Rescue". It started in 2005, we had all played in different bands throughout high school around Maine.

3. What bands are you influenced by?
The first band that most of us got into was blink 182 that was around 1999 haha. Now we listen to just about everything. I always get into bands that we tour with. I think that Every Avenue, Valencia and Anarbor come on the van speakers the most

4. If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would it be and why?
I would love to tour with Jacks Mannequin. I love everything that man has put out from Something Corporate to now.
We were lucky enough to do a run with All American Rejects! I would love to tour with them again..... great guys, great band.

5. If you were a furry, what animal would you be? Why that animal?
A ferret. one day on a long drive we figured out what animal everyone would be. Apparently I'm sneaky.

6. Why should people listen to your band?
We write real music that's catchy, fun and rocking.

7. If you were chosen to be in Guitar Hero/Rock Band, what song would you want in the game? How hard do you think it would be to five-star on expert?
Ii would want "We May Be Cruel." Its a bonus song off our album on i tunes. That songs would be a bitch on expert. Pat's solo would kick my butt.

8. If you won a Grammy, who would you thank?
My family

9. If you could change something about the music industry, what would it be?
phonies

10. Memorable tour experience?
SO many! Bourbon street with the Shh. it happens tour. VIP baby

11. What does AP.net mean to you?
It is the cnn of the scene

12. What is your favorite song to play?
SKeketon

13. What is your vacation spot of choice?
Home, Maine

14. What music reminds you of your childhood?
For some reason Jimmy Buffet

15. If you could have any super power, what would it be? Why?
Fly. Come on, so cool.

16. Do you feel that your band has "made it"?
No

17. What is something that most fans don't know about you?
I'm a bad dancer

18. What's your favorite holiday?
Christmas

19. What do you like to do in your spare time?
Hang out with friends, Bike, Soccer, record, I like adventure .

20. What kind of hidden talents do you have?
I can juggle! I have a double jointed thumb (hitch hikers thumb) not really a talent. hmm, I can do a front hand spring. I used to want to be a ninja wicked bad when I was a kid. I was self trained.

i really like str, but the interview wasn't very fun. there were too many short answers, like one or two words on a lot of the questions.
