i kind of want to ask "how'd you like to be all alone and drowning," but that's so ten years ago. i haven't heard the new album yet, so i can't ask anything about that either. so maybe i'll decide something later.
Just wanted to ask what kind of shift you've seen in your fan base given how long you've been making music (aka did the fans grow up with you, or are you still appealing to younger fans, or is it a fusion of the two)?
What are your thoughts on the "scene" today, and who are some of the more recent bands you've been listening to? Do you hear your influence in a lot of the bands that are popular today?
Finally, what made you come to AP.net for an interview?
I'll probably post a question later, but thanks Stephan for doing this! I've been a fan of your music since I was 10.; at 22, I still love the songs but I've also developed such an appreciation for the meticulous and passionate way you write the music.
Hopefully I will make it down to see you and Tony tonight too!
hello stephan! i wrote you a message yesterday on the 3eb website i hope you get a chance to read it. tonight i am camping out in state college pa to get tickets to your october show and im working on a set list for the contest on your website. i can't wait to see your show next month and hopefully ill have front row center seats. by the way, prepare yourself for the #1 party school in the country i'd be glad to show you around
Stephan, I haven't stopped listening to UM since I bought it---so worth the wait. Just wondering but what is the inspiration behind 'About to Break?' There's so many scenes in that song that it interested me where the lyrics are coming from.
PS-Please come to Indianapolis again ASAP; everytime I'm at your shows I feel like I'm in my own personal heaven.
