I thought this article was going to be some lame statement from him saying he's moved on to other things or "retired" from drumming, but it turns out he won't be playing drums due to an injury.

To tell the truth, I had no idea that he was a drummer. I know, shame on me, but I always associated him with singing. It's terrible that he can't drum anymore but at least he still has a musical outlet.

This is terrible. He was an excellent drummer. I wish him luck with any surgeries he may have to have.

Yeah, I think so too. He did a lot of interesting tricks and techniques as a drummer. I have a few friends who are drummers/percussionists, and they have a great deal of respect for what he did in the studio without any real "proper" training.

I mostly just know him as the guy from the Tarzan soundtrack.

Oh, and In the Air Tonight, I mean of course.

he's only 50? jeez I thought he was way older. reguardless, one of the best drummers out there
