best finale yet. The only shows that can possibly beat it are The Mentalist, Dexter(which hasn't started yet), Mad Men (but I doubt it), Greys Anatomy if they actually kill off McDreamy-McSteamy, and MsMeanie.

I don't think they'll kill of McDreamy. Patrick Dempsey signed on to come back next season.

Also, the TVD finale was fantastic.
It will be weird seeing Michael Trevino portray Klaus next season though.

I'm only on episode nine. I just think its a fucking awesome show, lol, has been from the start. They kept aspects of vampire lore that I like and got rid of some stuff I didn't. The acting has surprised me, the story is pretty fantastic so far, and I'm a sucker for a high school setting. The pieces just fit.

Oh boy, I agree, I really like the vampire myths they kept and the story and acting were really enjoyable. But if you're praising it now, jeez, you seriously have no freaking clue how huge this story gets. They just keep raising the stakes, it's incredible. Hold the applause! At least for the jaw dropping finale.

The Vampire Diaries is a pretty good show.

TVD books were written like 10 years before Twilight, so it is in no way copying Twilight.

Also, TVD has much better acting and better plot lines. And they have lots of nice little fighting scenes, etc. It's a good show, I like it a lot. Season 1 is great, Season 2 is great, Season 3 was a downer...but it got amazing in the end. So yeah, keep watching if you like it, it's one of my favorite shows.

The finale was pretty amazing. Season 3 was kind of downer this year, because I felt like it kept repeating the same boring story line over and over again and then BAM, the finale really punches you in the face. And now I can't WAIT till season 4.

I think maybe they did it on purpose... Hmmm... -_-

They actually toned down the vampireness and other stuff from the beginning. For instance, when Damon would make an appearance they would show a crow or fog. When they went all Vampire their faces would chance much more substantially. Also in the beginning stefan or Elana would read/write in a journal. I kinda miss it

Yeah, the fog and crow was dumb, which is why it gets good after episode 6. But the cool stuff is having to be invited in, the vervain, the lack of sparkle, super speed is awesome not cheesy, etc. I kinda miss how journals tied in to. At least Stefan was writing in his towards the end of the season.

I don't know how long it normally takes me (it only took me to the end of the pilot of FNL), but it was 9 episodes before I teared up/cried for this one. I think that's pretty good, haha.

The ending. Obviously I know Stefan leaving isn't happening, but I'm just a big softie, always have been, and love not working out for characters has always destroyed me, so seeing that message conveyed really well at the end just got to me a little bit.
