Oh yeah, and the enormous amount of b-sides are great too. Weekend was practically a double album. Another Weekend In the City, as the b-sides collection is often called, was such a pleasant surprise.

In other news, I've never listened to A Weekend In The City. Changing that soon.

Yes, you definitely need to listen to it.

Try to listen to it for the first time on a rainy day or at night.

I know that sounds a little weird/cheesy, but I bought it on it's release day in February and it was a cold, rainy day. The music fit it perfectly and every time I listen to it I immediately go back to that first time. It's great.

Uniform is the best track on A Weeked In The City hands down

That is a great song. My favorite would probably have to be "Waiting for the 7:18". There is just something about the melancholy vibe from that song and the dynamics that really hits me.

Could someone please post a high quality mp3 of "Always New Depths"? I can't find this song anywhere.

I assume it is fair game since it is a b-side.

I enjoyed it more than some of the songs off Intimacy.

I thought it was pretty bad.

I'm not sure what's so bad about intimacy. It's a great album. The first two tracks are hit and miss, but the rest of the album is very solid.

I had no idea that Weekend in the city had a b side album, which is pretty much another album...

Any idea if they are gonna do that for Intimacy?

It wasn't an actual album, someone just gathered up all the b-sides from AWITC singles and stuff and threw them together. I doubt they recorded that many extra songs for Intimacy... there's Letter To My Son, Your Visits Are Getting Shorter, and One More Chance, though.

Oh. Yeah I have Letter to My Son, Your Visits are getting shorter, and flux actually on intimacy's CD. I don't know how I got that copy because I just bought it from Disc Replay (used CD store), but it's definitely on the actual CD.

So they broke up? Is there actual evidence of this?

I know Wikipedia isn't super-reliable but this is what it says:

On 31st October 2009 the band played their final gig of the Bloctober tour at Bournemouth International Centre, home town of drummer Matt Tong. This was recognised as the bands last gig before going on hiatus

I'll just copy and paste my sentiments from the other thread:

Awesome band. "Silent Alarm" is a classic, and both "Weekend" and "Intimacy" have their fair share of great cuts. The last I heard is that they are going on hiatus, not breaking up officially, so hopefully we hear from them again.
