I hate how ambiguous these "indefinite" periods are. At least they mentioned possibly "until next year".

Hiatus these days is a fancy of way of saying "much needed time off between albums". Just like how the Chili Peppers are on "hiatus" right now. No, there just in between albums.

I tried to like Bon Iver, I really did, but "For Emma, Forever Ago" was one of the only albums I've ever deleted from my iTunes.

I had always thought that For Emma was a one-out, especially with the way it was written.
Disappointing news for sure, but it really preserves the greatness of the original. Besides, Vernon's talented as balls--shouldn't be long before he's tied up in another project.

Agreed. I have no idea how he could possibly top For Emma considering the story behind it.
