Hmmm, well, that's an odd pairing. It will be interesting to see how Anberlin's fan base reacts to them. Seeing as I'm dying to see Thursday (never have), I'd go. Hopefully the other bands they take with them are solid and they come in driving distance of Bloomington.

Thursday headlining tours are much, much better.. but I've caught them headlining about four times in the last twelve months so I can't complain. Plus Full Collapse this Sunday.. and maybe a drive to PA for another.

Anberlin is fantastic live.

No offense to Anberlin because I absolutely love them, but I think it's weird that they would headline over Thursday. I understand why they would because they're the bigger band now, but it just feels weird.

thought Thursday was doing a tour with Diillnger Escape Plan and others in December?

Guessing this means January/February, but can't wait! This better come to Cleveland!

Just another case in the giant tome of tours that feature veteran bands opening for newer bands.

Anberlin has been around since 2002, though.. about five years less than Thursday, still a long time.

Anberlin also has the longest charting radio single in history.

Thursday has.. the inability to sell out 500-person clubs in some markets.
