Considering that album was released on Tragic Hero Records based here in Raleigh and Rookie of the Year is from that area too I doubt it's that much of a coincidence. Originality is not something that band is good at, especially since they only seem to be in it for the girls anyways.

I disagree on the originality and in for the girls part completely. The covers being the same? Not so much

It really bothers me when bands seem to disown previous work. I've liked this band since Having to let go, and I thought Sweet Attention was a really good record. I'm excited for the ep, but all the talk of going back and overlooking the last just hits me wrong.
