I went with "The Middle". That song was massive across multiple radio formats, cracked the TRL countdown, I still hear it everywhere, and I can still listen to it when I hear it and don't automatically turn it off because I've gotten sick of it.

And surely of My Chem songs, you'd put Welcome To The Black Parade?

Personally I prefer Sugar..never really liked Dance Dance

And according to the article Helena and I'm Not Okay were the songs that propelled MCR to stardom...the Black Parade was like 40-something on the list

I don't...the magazine I just got yesterday, so I doubt the list will be up on their site for a few weeks

It was really close between Sweetness and Sugar, but I chose Sugar, just because I think it was that song/video that got them where they are today.

is it weird that this list made me cry a bit....this was MY decade....and it's coming to an end. i get choked up easily.

are the only acceptable answers. not only are these the most important singles of the decade (for their respective genres)...but they're still catchy, fun, and listenable today. They're easily on my top 20 songs list of songs that defined the 00's no doubt about it.

umm at your funeral had absolutely no radio play and has no mainstream pull what so ever.
