stuff like this is just fun to read about. and having taken even only an intro to archaeology seems to make this cooler; i remember how my prof talked about how he thought people had advanced faster than what current opinion and [available] records/info showed, and if this is legit than that's just so cool to me. thanks OP!

I like how it starts as a legit scientific and archaeological find and turns into a conspiracy theory of how humans are a hybrid between ancient man and aliens, who caused the great flood and used us as slaves to mine gold for their own purposes. Sounds like the most logical conclusion to come to based on the findings.

Interesting but I have to say I'm extremely skeptical about the date they gave the civilization and how advanced the civilization is believed to be, and not to mention the whole alien theory. I mean, the Sumerians didn't exactly have a great track record with their religious superstitions and stories. The reason I don't buy the fact they were such an advanced civilization was that if they were, why didn't any other humans (civilization or not) that were around during that time (whatever time it may be), take them as an example and build based on their civilization like how every other civilization in history has done with a previous one. It just doesn't add up at all to me but it would be cool if more attention was brought to that and some more answers and theories are given.

I too am skeptical about the date they give. They mention no artifacts found at the site. Ancient temples usually contained some sort of sculptures that would be used as offers to the gods. Even in the Indus Valley were we don't know a lot about how they functioned their was at least some art found.
