11:07 AM on 11/24/09 | you are worthless if you're waiting Piracy won't be defeated, not even by you, Paul (all Beatles material is all over the internet already anyway).

11:10 AM on 11/24/09 | isn't racist - he has color tv The real concern, which I am glad to see the article adds as an update, is the theft of the master recordings. This is still not a great reason to keep all of your music out of digital form, but it is a valid concern I think.

11:12 AM on 11/24/09 | Well if you read the article it really isn't just about piracy... but well, Sir's thoughts are insane. Hello, and welcome to 2009.

11:13 AM on 11/24/09 | Don't worry Paul, the majority of people who want that music and haven't downloaded it already are still scared of computers.

11:17 AM on 11/24/09 | Hahaha, I was just talking about the original Ars article in the BlueBeat thread. Paul's so out of touch.

11:19 AM on 11/24/09 | Hey guys, I've heard there's this site called mp3.com where you can get music for free!

11:23 AM on 11/24/09 | attack troll with nasty knife In Paul's defense, he's said he doesn't understand how these things work more than once.
It sounds more like they're concerned about the masters leaking, not the albums. He has to know that albums have been shared since the dawn of the internet.

11:26 AM on 11/24/09 | Not only can you get ANYTHING by ANYONE on the interent, from that tiny obscure indy band from nowheresville, to Micheal Jackson albums, today theres a new epidemic. Ripping discographies. Not only can you now get a single album, but I am rather fond of getting discographies of artists, often including live albums and shows. Music revenue will forever continue to decline, until a reasonable alternative is developed. Because why would I ever spend hundreds of dollars, if not thousands, when I can get everything an artist has ever done in their career in less then an hour for free? zero cost maximum benefit.

Because the artist deserves it.
Your just completely blind to what your doing. I'm not saying that it's completely wrong to download music. Your downloading full discographies without using a single penny from your bank account, but have you ever considered the amount of time an artist puts on all of those songs you downloaded? It's as if random people stole money from every one of your paychecks and said, "hey, thanks so much for the great work".

11:53 AM on 11/24/09 | As much as I adore the Beatles and Paul as a musician, not a fan of him as a person.

12:06 PM on 11/24/09 | If he would have said something like "I don't care if people steal my music," then I would have bought it....
But in this case... I'm glad I stole the entire discography.
What is he worried about money for anyways?
He'll be a dead legend in a few years.
