Haha, you don't often have a list with both Brand New and Miley Cyrus.

the inclusion of Brand New is nice, but At The Bottom? out of all the songs on Daisy?

edit: wait, maybe he's only looking at singles... which makes more sense.

Wale! That song is the best on his CD, and one of my favorites of the year

Cool list, if only for diversity. I'd say I agree with Flaming Lips, Animal Collective, Grizzly Bear, Phoenix, and Thom Yorke. I don't think I've heard any of the others (aside from Brand New, but we won't go there).

Two Miley Cyrus songs kills the credibility of this list, I think. However, glad to see someone else really liked "Zero."

Quote:
18. Brand New: "At the Bottom" Ominous, snarling rock about death and burial and prescription drugs and other cheery topics of that sort. Full of loud/soft crashes, blurry fretwork and a positively crushing chorus, it's feel-bad music for feel-bad times.

+100 Scene points to this man.

I liked his list and he makes me want to listen the "All I Wanted" again

I must say that I thoroughly agree with this list, albeit I cannot take one more second of "I Gotta Feelingt." However, I'm in love with mostly all the choices, specifically Wale because I love that track so much. I also love the diversity in Montgomery's list. Mad props.

Pretty diverse list- I haven't heard a lot of these songs, but given the artists, he has really shown a good representation of genres.
