I was messing around at work and came across this thread. I know its a year old but hey. So yeah I played bass and sang/wrote about half the Still Life songs so I am pretty happy to see that folks are giving us some props. the underground scene in the 90s was pretty special and a lot of good music came out of those basements. We did a pretty piss poor job of getting our stuff out and keeping it alive which is why all the old stuff is out of print and hard to find.
What I can say is that we were 100% honest with our music. The though never crossed our minds of being anything more than a completely DIY punk band. Our goal was to play music for the kids and travel the country making friends. I loved those days more than I can express. So thanks for noticing.
I know it's kinda duchey to plug anything here but if anyone hasn't heard some of the old Still Life stuff we have recently released it all digitally. I know it's better to get the original vinyl and cds but if you haven't heard it and want to check it out it is out there on iTunes and other places

I also have a new solo project going which is pretty much folky country stuff. It's pretty emo though in the sentiment. probably doesn't fit in here but if you want to check it out please do.

Anyhow thanks for the shout out. Underground hardcore or emo or whatever it was we were all doing at that time still has a special place in my heart, even if I am fat and old. We did it for the kids yeah, I really hope someone is still out there doing the same.
