1. Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion
This was the soundtrack to the first half of the year for me. Every time i was getting ready to go out I'd put this on. My Girls is quite possibly track of the year as well.
2. Mew - No more stories Are told to day I'm sorry They washed away No more stories The world rey I'm tired Let's wash away
The longest album title ever. And an amazing record. One of the things I love the most here is the production. Like how could they come up with these vocals in the first song?!
3. Kimono - Easy Music for Difficult People
This Icelandic 3 piece recently lost their bass player (used to be a 4 piece), decided not to find a new one and one of the guitar players switched to baritone guitar instead. The result is this awesome progressive indie rock album, packed with some amazing guitar melodies.
Passion Pit - Manners (nice stuff that gets me in a good mood) Converge - Dark Horse (intense, better than the last one.) Gus Gus - 24/7 (these guys are just so... cool!)
