It didn't sound like a bad idea until until the part about Tom taking 25 percent of the profits |
I had no idea the model was built on the company taking 25%. Interesting.
I have yet to figure out why a band can't do everything Modlife does, without a commission, on their own, using free web products, and broadcast to a
much larger fan-base.
Although, on topic of the article: Didn't seem that weird to me from a "sad" (as the article said) perspective. He tried to get them to sign up. Showed them what it was all about. Good for him. I've been pitched THOUSANDS of ideas in my life ... this was no where near what I've seen out there or even pushy at all. Don't see how Tom did anything wrong here. Except this one quote, "Do you want to do normal blogs — or do you want to do it in the dark and have lasers going and make it look like you're from space? And not call it a blog, call it a space cam?" -- which is just ... weird.
