What the fuck could the dudes in Panic at the Disco possibly educate me on?

Come on, Tim...there are always bands like this, and it's not always their place to step up and be professors

True, but FOB could do it. They're not idiots.

haha, their fans are 10-12 years old, I don't think they need a crash course in politics from FOB

Just because you aren't an idiot doesn't give you the authority to try and "educate people" on politics. If a band doesn't have some sort of political message that is important to them and they want to promote, they shouldn't just stand up there and say whatever bullshit everyone else is saying just to give them more credibility. Not every band has to be political.

Fall Out Boy regularly make speeches about not being prejudiced. i think that they deserve some credit for that.

But it's not like everyone in fob is completely opinionless. They all feel strongly about certain subjects, making the band have a politicla message.

and wow 'ready to fall" just came on fuse. That is pretty intense stuff. I'm glad they're doing what they're doing.

I don't really expect Fall Out Boy and P!ATD to really voice to us all the political and ethical problems in the world. Who's to even say they are fully educated on the matters anyways? I mean Brendon Urie just turned 19...and their general audience is around the same age. I'm not saying that educating their audiences on these topics is bad, but I don't believe they should be relied upon to preach it because of their success. Not too mention it's a little out of context to go ahead preaching a cleaner environment after singing "I've got a hotter touch, a better fuck"
