| Landmines - Hell Is What You Make It EP | Landmines - Hell Is What You Make It EP
Record Label: Paper + Plastick
Release Date: September 30, 2009
Who?
Formed in 2005, Landmines are a melodic hardcore punk band from Richmond, Virginia. Their music can be compared to the likes of Strike Anywhere, Smoke Or Fire and None More Black.
How is it?
Instantly memorable and infectious, this six-track EP is quick and to-the-point, pummeling the listener with roughly 15 minutes of no-nonsense melodic hardcore. Featuring a sonic assault of serrated guitar riffs, cutting bass punctuation and tight, pounding percussion, Hell Is What You Make It is sure to please anyone looking for fun, urgent hardcore punk. The lyrics are also worthy of mention, touching on both social and personal matters, making for a relatable collection of songs. If you're at all curious about this band, it's highly recommended that you give them a listen as they are yet another excellent name on Paper + Plastick's roster. I can safely say I'm highly anticipating what they do next.
