I can't believe I never got into this band when they were still around. I once had a chance to see them at my first Agape fest when I was in 8th grade, but I wasn't cool enough to know about them. so sad now.
So excited, FIF was my first concert at the ska-mania tour when i was in like 7th grade. I only went to see the Supertones (which I only knew like 3 songs of at the time) but The Insyderz kicked off the show awesomely but then FIF just stole the fucking show. They came out in Star Trek uniforms and just played the entire set AS the actual characters of Star Trek instead of the members of Five Iron Frenzy... I believe the tour was promoting Our Newest Album Ever or Quanity is Job 1 EP
Either way I saw them every year after that, that'll always be my favorite set of their though. The Sock-Puppet tour was awesome as well and I remember driving like 4 hours with friends just to see them play their last show in PA at some random ass festival in middle of nowhere PA... I don't think there were any other bands at the show that we knew except like... Skillet who was the closing act (aka we left after FIF)
So many great memories, Brave Saint Saturn and Roper were good but nothing compared to FIF
I was at that show in Allentown for that weird christian festival. I think it was called Fallout Fest. Great show! I got on stage and danced around in this weird costume during "You Probably Shouldn't Move Here." The band called it the Bonch or the Dancing Bonch but its just this furry creature with a big red nose in leiderhosen. It was a highlight of my time in college.
