I'm shooting my first hip-hop show this weekend (POS/Dessa) and I'm concerned I'll be searching too hard for good shots, as there's no instruments and less motion affiliated with music itself. Was that a problem for you when shooting Jay-Z?

wow, I didn't know you could pull of something like that with wordpress, good to know. And yes I will be around until at least July 31, when my lease ends, so hopefully you are here before then!

I love the colors and theme. Not so much content and composition. I love the duality of the warmth and the frigid.

Thank you. I honestly just set it on P and let it run wild. There was a spotlight on him the entire time so I had it center-weighted and set the ISO to about 1000/1600 - just jumped between the two. Used my Sigma 24-70mm F/2.8. My exposure stayed between 1/100 - 1/250 though for the one you quoted it dropped down to 1/80. I have my EXIF data turned on, on my Flickr but for some reason it's not transferring over which is frustrating.

If you're in the market for one check out http://themeforest.net/ I spent like 2 weeks playing with demos and checking out themes. It was kind of addicting. I'll get back to you when I know when I'll be in CA.
