I used to like these guys, back when "Oliver" came out.

.... this is miserable by comparison.

Damn I loved this band back in the day.

Listening now, sounds completely different.

I was listening to Oliver yesterday. weird.

Scratching my head over the decision to Auto-Tune his vocals so hard. I mean, he's not an amazing singer, but I thought they had a cool sound going on the first album. Now it's just another rock cliche.

i'll have to give this a listen when i get home. interested to see where they went. i was so excited when they got back together.

Is it all as bad as that first released song was? Dunno if I have it in me to let my good feelings about the band be raped any further.

It's no Oliver.

Edit: listening to these actually pissed me off. What happened?

I'm not sure you can call this getting back together...since there's only one original member....and what looks to be a member of sky eats airplane.

Completely agree. I really enjoyed this band when Oliver was released. He is a great singer with a fantastic talent for hearing cool melodies, so to me it's unfortunate that his talents and strongsuits are being set aside for the poorly-obvious vocal tuning and less piano focus. However, I hope they turn it around an I wish him (them) well.

http://www.myspace.com/wearechandeliers This is the direction they should've stuck with. Twin beds and Ceiling Stars were originally from this project and didn't sound so overdone. Had more of a sound that window seat had. Window seat was also one of the best songs Connor's written and it's a shame they changed the sound the way they did. Oliver Under The Moon was one of the best raw sounding records i've ever heard. Based on these comments i hope he goes back to the old sound instead and at least stops autotuning his voice.

Saw these guys live about a month or so ago. They're pretty solid. After listening to both the old album and this new stuff, I can understand the disappointment, but I'm sure the next release will be worth the wait.

Yeah Johno's a legit dude. Sucks he's not in SEA anymore; just saw them on Sunday and their live show is a letdown now :(

I was a big fan of Oliver & was glad I got to see Pistolita live several times, but this is unlistenable. I wonder if the old songs are going to sound like these live. I guess I wish Conor had retired the Pistolita name.
