along with down to earth approach.
Absolutely. Love DTEA!

As for HRC, I have to say Safely is probably one of my favorite songs of all time. I'm glad I was able to see them at least a couple times. The last time I saw them was Warped 2007. I was one of three people there, other than a few band members that were also on the tour. It was sad that no one went to their set.

Hot Rod nostalgia < Bigwig or Hot Water nostalgia.

Andy hit on my ex-lady back at Warped 07. Dude almost got hit. Lucky for him he was a gentleman about it. I always saw hot rod as one of those meh bands with some great highlights. There are parts that I love about it, but as a whole, it's never made me want to play drums on my steering wheel. My dorky indie side was for Ultimate Fakebook and No Knife.

Best show I ever saw was Hot Rod Circuit/Say Anything/Northstar/Straylight Run. Unreal.
That sounds like my dream tour.

It's funny that people keep mention DTEA since one of my favorite songs is Johnathan Lullo covering Safely

I loved If I Knew Now What I Knew Then. I bought it after seeing them open for TGUK. I wore the cd out because I listened to it so much.
Unfortunately for me, they lost me after that. Their change in sound and a rather sloppy, drunk live performance (the 2nd time I saw them) alienated me... I will always love their debut, though!

They played CT and MA CONSTANTLY for a few years so I luckily got to see them at least 15 times back in the day. Very, VERY good band.

Their first album is...interesting. Kinda hard to get aside from "Irish Car Bomb" which is fucking awesome.

Second and Third albums were both incredible front to back...and they kinda dropped off my radar after that. Are the last 2 any good?
