I hope the new material sounds nothing like Planet of Ice. Really let me down. Not saying it was terrible.
You really don't like Planet of Ice? I thought it was great! It's by far their most matured and artistic album. Very complex time signatures and some of the guitar licks are pure sex.
Yeah man I just thought it was a banal step from MeO and HRP. Not saying I didn't dig it, I just found it a tad boring from the older stuff. I am really excited to hear this new stuff though.
I mean I could see you not liking it as much if you really dig their older stuff. I certainly love MeO and HRP as well, I just think PoI is a great experimental album for them.
Maybe I should listen to it more haha. I listened a couple of times and wrote it off. Perhaps it'll grow on me. It just didn't hit me like the first two. I agree though it definitely has a lot more mature sound.
Yeah you should definitely listen to it some more. It was an acquired taste for me too.
