why would that stop you from checking them out? most bands nowadays who are labeled "pop-punk" really aren't. had he just labeled the band as "pop-punk" a lot of people would have written them off as just another neon colored synth band. when they're the furthest thing from that. they're more along the lines of a fall out boy, the starting line or the years gone by, aka "pop-punk done right".

i second the Mercer Avenue recommendation. really great band out of new jersey.
