It definitely gets better, but it also gets nuttier, haha.

it gets a ton better from season 1. It really starts to hit its groove towards the end of S2 IMO and then from there on out it's fantastic. the last three seasons (S3, S4, and the current S5) are all knockouts

I would have to guess it's the latter. It has never really had a low period in its short history.
