I've liked all the starters except for Chikorita and Torchic pretty much.. That snake one is going to be bad ass.

Exactly, they should have stopped after Gold/Silver. I tried playing Sapphire, but I just couldn't be bothered to finish even though I loved the previous games.

Ruby/Sapphire sucked, but Diamond and Platinum weren't that bad.
