Other good protein shakes?

i used muscle milk a couple times and didn't like it at all, now I just use the GNC protein

I need a new pre workout and I'm tired of NO xplode and nano vapor makes me sick midway through my workout. I looked into Black Powder last time I was at GNC, but I'm still a little sketchy on it. anyone have any suggestions?

I do muscle milk and a very big fan of it. It does have a decent amount of fat but usually you drink it right after a work out so that fat shouldnt mean anything and the benefits of everything else in it will definitly outweigh the fat it contains

i've looked into black powder quite a bit and have considered using it. i'm just not 100% sold on it yet. i need to get extra opinions from dudes who aren't trying to sell it to me.

Muscle Milk is good for bulking and putting on size. There is a lot of fat in it.
Not a big fan of GNC's protein too. Too much junk in it.

I've been using Optimum Nutritions Protein for yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeears.

You can get it cheap here: http://www.bulknutrition.com/?products_id=62

Also, www.trueprotein.com is good too. You can put what ingredients you want in it.

And as for black powder.. it's just another NO/creatine product. They're all the same.

To my knowledge there hasn't been one scientifically proven claim stating that extra "pumps" lead to greater muscle gain. They sure feel good, and the Arginine gets you energized... but don't expect the world. And creatine ester is creatine ester.

I'm not saying they're bad products. I just think that NO products are entirely over-hyped and I'd watch what I buy, don't always lean for the expensive new stuff because they're really not all that different at all.

That being said, Black Powder does have some good ingredients and I would choose that over NO-Xplode and Super Pump.

Thanks for the first site. I've been using ON as well and it tastes great. I couldn't find anywhere to buy it cheap though. It ends up costing around $90 inc. postage when I buy it here and I couldn't find anywhere else that ships it eg. Amazon. Not sure how much international postage will cost, but surely it would end up being a bit cheaper.

So I recently got a gym membership at 24 hour, I go about every day, I'm trying to build muscle for my soccer season coming up.

I'm a really skinny lanky kid, so what would be the best way to put on muscle besides eating a lot? Should I drink whey protein shakes and shit?

Have whey in the morning when you wake up along with some other breakfast food (oatmeal), and have whey after you work out along with some simple sugar (fruit, powdered gatorade). Other than that don't worry about whey too much, just eat a lot of good food.

For those looking for something new, look into Max-OT training. I've been using a variation of it for the past 7 weeks. It helped a ton.

During the summer going into the fall I wasn't eating nowhere near enough and missed a month and a 1/2 at the gym, my numbers went down big time. When I started up again, I dabbled with Max-OT.

Some of this is muscle memory but I can tell you I was curling nowhere near as much even when my training and nutrition was spot on.

Just an example. The first day of the workout I was Curling 105 for reps, week 7 I'm curling 130 reps. 1st day of benching I was doing 205 for reps, week 7 I'm doing 235 for reps. I'm doing an 8 week cycle of this variation before taking a week off. So I'm hoping to end with 240.

I'll post my variation in a second.
