I'm not saying that he doesn't have grounds to complain, but according to my understanding, he wouldn't get royalties unless he contributed one of the three deciding factors of a song - melodies/lyrics/chord progression, therefore drumming alone would count for nothing, unless there was a contract to the contrary signed by those who contributed those things.
Also, is he upset because he signed the contract that screwed him out of everything? Or is he upset because they screwed him? If he signed the contract, he can't transfer responsibility.
I'm not trying to be negative, I'm sure he was mistreated, those were just two apparent contradictions that I saw.
Also, TSO seems like they should be big enough to get a drum endorsement or something. I know a lot of smaller bands that have pulled something like that off.
