The original lineup of Mae will be reuniting for the Goodbye, Goodnight Tour starting this October. Head to the replies for a press release about the news.
I want the (e)vening ep so badly. I will miss this band if they go away forever, but honestly I'm just glad that they even got to continue after Singularity.

Basically this. I do like a few songs off Singularity, but nothing they've released since have topped The Everglow for me. I'd love to see this tour, hopefully they continue on after it.
I have sneaking suspicion that this might be the last tour that Mae has, as a five-piece or a three-piece. Its a shame because throughout all the years of my musical tastes evolving, these guys continued to write stuff that went beyond my expectations. Its rare for a band to keep me captivated for so long.

I wasn't even commenting on the quality of Singularity. I just expected them to break up after not doing well on a major label
After Singularity flopped, and after Rob and Mark left the band the band just seemed to tread water (not creatively) to what seemed like would be an eventual indefinite hiatus. What they did with the charity year of releases was a great cause, but I had been thinking after their major label experience they were just going to fade away. Even if this is their swan song, it's good to see the original lineup around and they'll give their fans some closure.
