Apple

Check out a review of the iPhone 4. Apple received a lot of heat for telling iPhone 4 users that they had reception issues because they were holding the phone improperly (even though Apple's own press releases hold the phone the same "incorrect" way). Interestingly, a Danish professor predicted the reception problem and its cause two weeks before the phone was released.The company has discovered a software solution to the problem, so iPhone 4 owners don't have to buy a case or hold the phone with their right hands if they don't want one.

Apple now anonymously tracks location data on iOS 4. Google's not the only Big Brother around, and at least Google gives the option to turn the feature off (which unfortunately has adverse effects on some apps).

Some iPhone 4 users report yellowish tinting on their screens, but the issue appears be only temporary.

iOS 4 is out for the iPhone 3G and iPod Touch. Check out the complete list of features that iPhone 3G users will not get from upgrading to iOS 4.

Hackers have released jailbreak software for iOS 4.

Apple has sold 3 million iPads in 80 days. In other iPad news, new customers no longer have an unlimited 3G data plan available, and Malaysia Airlines now uses iPads for check-in.

Apple may be selling a lot of iPhone 4's, but it's not getting that many new customers. 77% of sales have been upgrades.

iPhone 4 users who want to experience FaceTime but don't have any friends with an iPhone 4 can call a toll-free number to test it out.

The iPhone 4 iMovie app is out.

White iPhone 4's will not arrive until the end of July.

Internet

Australia wants users who contract a virus to be unable to connect to the internet until their computer is fixed. Good idea?

Mobile

Verizon might be firing employees who try to save customers money.

Developers are working hard on an Android port for Windows Mobile HTC HD2.

The EVO 4G has support for 802.11n with a patch (note that the phone must be rooted using a proper solution other than unrevoked). Developers have also bypassed the 30fps video restriction.

Google Maps for Android now features public transit schedules.

Froyo, Android 2.2, will be coming to the EVO 4G sooner rather than later. The OS is also slated to arrive for the Droid in late July and Droid X in late August. The Hero and Moment appear to be out of luck on the upgrade though.

There is going to be a update for it too. Just stay tuned or whatever Steve Jobs said.
