Congrats to MSU and being a PC student and a UMaine fan I am stoked that BC lost tonight.

I go to Providence College and I am watching the first game of the GLI. Michigan is getting totally outworked and outplayed by us yet they are dominating the scoreboard 5-0 at the start of the 3rd. I knew that Michigan was good obviously when you are 1/2 depending on which poll you read but they are just flat out handing it to us and all the while they are missing 4 of their top freshman. Our goalie Tyler Sims was pretty awful including the first goal which was a fluky one at that. I feel good about PC for the rest of the Hockey East schedule but it will not surprise me one bit to see Michigan in Denver when I go to the Frozen Four even though I hate the Wolverines.

I hate Ha-Ha-Harvard from going to Yale games all my life but I hate BC more going to PC and having been a Maine fan all my life so I guess I'll be rooting against BC.

I just got my student tickets from PC for the PC/BC series this weekend. I would have loved a home series but if we had to play anyone on the road I'm happy it's BC. These two teams have played 3 great games this year, I cannot wait to be done with classes tomorrow.

Well we were thoroughly dismantled by BC this weekend. What a bummer, never got to see PC make it to the Garden nor did I ever see them play an NCAA game.

I'm just hoping an underdog makes it to Denver so I have someone to root for while I'm at the Frozen Four. A Niagara, Air Force or even as tough as this to say after growing up going to Yale games, Princeton would be nice.

Anyone on here going to the Frozen Four? I'm flying out tomorrow and will be decked out in all of my PC gear. If so we should meet up at some point, I'm always down to meet some good hockey fans.

I just got back from the Frozen Four in Denver. I have gone to four Frozen Four's and this one ranks up there with all the others as a great weekend.

I am not a BC fan at all but I must say they were truly dominant this weekend. After seeing Gerbe dominate this season and this weekend he very easily could have won the Hobey and I agree that his skill will allow to be a successful payer in the NHL.

Notre Dame just looked tired last night. I think the game against Michigan took everything out of them. The 10 minute review then having their second goal called back only to have BC score 41 seconds later sealed their fate, any momentum they had was gone and you could feel it in the building.

North Dakota was a major disappointment. There is no other way to put it, they did not show up.

Michigan played a good game but was just outplayed in the end by a very hungry ND team. Max Pacioretty really impressed me. This was the first time I have seen him play and he is a beast on the ice, I cannot wait to see him in a Montreal jersey, he'll fit nicely with Higgins and Komisarek in leading this team.

As for the practices on Friday, BC looked like a team who was playing in their third straight National Title Game. They had a lot of fun and looked really loose. Notre Dame went with a traditional structured practice working on fundamentals and the Penalty Kill. ND had no fun elements to their practice, no shootout competition, nothing.

As for Kevin Porter winning the Hobey, I think Gerbe should have taken it, his dominating performance this weekend showed what he meant to the Eagles. Porter and Jones were still great finalists. The skills competition was a lot of fun but the hurry up and wait atmosphere created by ESPNU made it drag out at points.

Bob Norton sat two seats in front of me on my plane from Denver to Chicago today. Everyone was in awe of him, I hate the man. All he does is yell and claims he knows every player who played in the NEPSIHA.

I was there. The game was utter garbage (as a PC student). 95% of the students left by the start of the third period to go to midnight madness. Just like the start of last season we get a barrage of shots with no one in front of the net. I think we had 35 shots tonight and Thiessen had a clear view to probably 25-28 of them. Just an awful effort by PC, we'll surely get smoked by BGSU tomorrow night.

Also I am really tempted to give up on Providence and considering this a season for growing the younger guys but last year when I was ready to do this they beat Michigan State at the GLi and went on a late season tear. I'm hoping they show me something this weekend over what is a very weak Maine team.
