I'm listening to this on vinyl right now, it's my first 12''. This is possibly my favorite Jimmy Eat World album, it just came at the exact right time in my life. When "Cut" kicks in, it's overwhelming for me.

This album makes me sad. There are a few songs that I absolutely love - Cut and Invented, especially - but the lyrics leave me wanting so much more. I know Jim was trying a new way of writing songs, and I can't fault him for branching out and tackling something new, but I just can't connect anywhere near as well with these songs as I could with all of their past albums.

As I was saying in the Bleed American thread the other day, it makes no sense that anyone who ever enjoyed Jimmy Eat World didn't like this album, but to me, it's their second or third best for sure.

This is a good album. Not an album I grab off the shelf very often, though.

I think it's a solid album. It would probably come in fourth for me...or fifth. I put it right next to Chase This Light, which I enjoyed a lot, but not as much as the classics.
