this is my least favorite place i've ever been. in the four hours i was at the taste of chaos stop there in 2008, somebody (probably a crackhead, from what the police told us) threw a rock through my friend's passenger-side window and stole his gps, leaving us to try to find out way home. the normal hour-long drive back to his house out there took two hours. plus, it was freezing without the window. so shitty.

the music store might be cool, though.

it's related in that the music store is in asbury park, a place i consider to be shitty. the store might be cool, but the location is terrible.

Hope it works out for them. But the economy may say otherwise.

i have spent a lot of time in asbury without incident...

and i cant wait to check this place out. i really loved lpt.

sigh...asbury requires not being a dumb white kid and using some common sense. it's not unreasonably dangerous, but it has a lot of poor people, so don't leave expensive shit in plain view in your car, or park it on a poorly lit residential street, and then walk to and from said parking spot talking on a cell phone or something.

and the holy mess is awesome.

Perfectly said...live in Rumson and feel the same way. Know what your doing in Asbury Park and you'll be fine.

Glad to hear music shops are still opening, especially in Monmouth County, NJ.
