I don't think they underused Regine's vocals at all. In fact, the songs that she sings on this record are probably the best she's ever been on. I love "Empty Room".

This review is well written as always, though I don't find the album feels too long. I agree with almost everything else.

Was the play on words in the last line intentional?

It just doesn't touch the first two. I haven't gone back to it at all

Its good to see a band come out with a record like this. It is good that they can pave the way for bands like Beach House, Wavves, Tame Impala, and similar artists to break through. Maybe the world will finally realize that a man with a flock of seagulls haircut screaming at the top of his lungs for 45 minutes, is not the future of rock and roll.

I prefer it over High Violet, but that's just me. One thing High Violet has though is brevity. Certainly not long-winded, which this certainly is.
