homegirl, darlin. i'm glad you can agree, but yes, griffin house is a good choice. i'd suggest patty griffin and yea, maybe sam cooke. someone with soul. otis redding, perhaps? i can't really think of any specific artist or album to compare this one to though. it's on a level all of it's own, but you know that. in fact, i've been a ray fan since the very beginning and this was the first album of his i literally loved as a whole upon first listen. everything you said about it was right on the money, especially the part about having ray's body of work in the future. i mean, truly, one of a kind.
