That just...isn't very good. And this is coming from someone who generally likes almost anything in that genre.

They're as bad as they used to be, but now with the production of Joey Sturgis!

EDIT: My bad, insert Kris Crummet. It'd be much funnier if Sturgis actually produced this album. :(

I listened through this whole thing once the day it came out.

Absolutely nothing stood out. Usually bands like this can drop one sweet breakdown that'll peak my attention. But by the 4th track (the title track with a completely awkward transition to the bridge, if I remember correctly, it was the only thing that made me check iTunes to see if the track changed or something) I was just waiting for it to end so I could throw the new Conditions album.

edit: yeah, it's the title track. and the reason it caught my attention is because (I believe, no expert on musical theory) the guitar and the keyboard line are IN COMPLETELY DIFFERENT KEYS

"Bands" like this give Rise a bad name. I definitely believe they were signed as a bet.

Just a rumor, but it seems likely consider how bad they really are. Why is Rise spending money on them when there are plenty of bands with talen they could work with?
