The Toasters Interview Questions

Posted by - 12:02 PM on 11/30/06
Continuing my trend of great interviews, tomorrow I will be sitting down with Rob "Bucket" Hingley, founder of The Toasters, the longest-running American ska band. You know what to do: ask away!

How have you seen the music industry change over the years
How has your fanbase grown over the years.
Do you see a difference in crowds at shows from what you saw durring the "Ska Boom" of the 90's
What are your thoughts on the "Ska Boom" of the 90's
[edit]here is a few more

How does it feel to play the songs that you wrote over 20 years ago.
Did you ever think that you would still be playing music with the toasters after all those years.

Who do you think are some of the best 'ska' bands out there today?

p.s. thats not the link to their myspace you linked there....

I'm looking forward to reading the interview, Tony. Here's a few questions I've been itching to ask Bucket:

How do you feel about being labelled as pioneers of the American ska movement?

If you could implement any changes into the ska scene as we know it, what would they be, and why?

What can we expect from the new Toasters material, and how do you feel it will compare to your previous releases?

Fixed the Myspace link; it's blocked at school and I had them both saved by accident. My bad.

Keep up with the questions, and thanks to those who have submitted and will submit them.

Rob isn't American. He's from England. The rest of the dudes are American though. But he's the only original member haha

I know that Rob is British. The band was formed in NYC. That makes them an American band.
