Entirely due to that. I mean when you look at the tours they've been on, bands like Blessthefall and Bullet For My Valentine were headlining over them at smaller venues than Chiodos used to sell out on their own. Craig was everything to many of the fans, especially the more casual ones. As well, there was pretty much a 6 month period from when Craig was kicked out that the band did not have a single fan interaction - no blogs, tweets, shows (obviously), updates. They seemed not to care and its plausible the fanbase got disinterested and moved on. A shame too, because Illuminaudio is a great album.

Definitely should've charted higher.

They get better and become less popular. The scene is weird.

i didnt realize that bone palace ballet charted so high, not surprised at this even though illuminaudio was a pleasently amazing surprise for me. they need to rebuild their fan base and definitely work on fan interaction

100%. I think people underestimate the following he has.

I don't think it was due to the departure of any members. I bet at least 25k downloaded the album, and 100k have still yet to realize it has been released. Give it time.

I dont get why everyone likes Illuminaudio so much. I've listened to it like 4 times and not one track has stood out. Im gunna give it another chance

This is wrong. They did 11K+ and landed at #37. I have the SoundScan report in front of me now. Way to go Chiodos boys!
