I'd hate to live in Australia and listen to this genre of music. Bands come there maybe once every year or two, I'm surprised to see that many sold there honestly.

That's still more frequently than how often most bands come to Canadian cities other than Toronto, and we're in North America as well. :>

Last I checked, CDs in Australia cost an absurd amount of money, so while that is a pretty low number, it isn't super surprising.

Everyone has to remember that Australia isn't nearly as populated as the states(about 22 million vs. 300 million). You only have to sell 35,000 to go Gold and 70,000 to go Platinum down under(vs. 500,000 and 1 million).
