Info Ambush Reality are proud to present 'Destabilise'!
download (released in UK/Europe/Australia on 26th October 2010 + USA/Canada 2nd November 2010)
+
limited edition coloured 7" vinyl (released UK/Europe only on 29th November 2010)
'Destabilise' is the first brand new Enter Shikari track since February's 'Thumper' and 'Tribalism', and was produced by Enter Shikari & Dan Weller during the summer of this year. Originally intended just as a recording session for fun and to see what happened, the results blew everyone away, so now its a single.
Some of you will have seen / heard the live version, either at recent shows or on Youtube, but the finished track itself is something else.
Suffice to say, the game has been raised… further widening the chasm between Enter Shikari and, errm, pretty much everyone else (if you will forgive the hyperbole)
The track will be released as a very limited edition coloured vinyl 7" (backed by live favourite 'Motherstep/Mothership' recorded at the band's Hammersmith Apollo show back in February) which will be available only from UK independent record stores on 29th November; coinciding nicely with the band's UK arena tour as special guests of 30 Seconds To Mars).
The digital version of 'Destabilise' will, however, be available from this coming Tuesday 26th October as an iTunes exclusive download (exclusive for two weeks before being widely available from all download retailers). We will post the iTunes link as soon as we have it.
A video for 'Destabilise' will surface the same day as the iTunes release. Keep an eye on the Enter Shikari Youtube channel -www.youtube.com/ambushreality
The other important news concerning this release is this;
'Destabilise' will be Enter Shikari's first release since exiting their arrangement with Atlantic/Warners, and marks a welcome return to running Ambush Reality on a fully independent basis.
Hurrah and hooray!
Everyone here at Team Shikari is over the moon to be back in the warm embrace of Peter and all the family at PIAS. Its a homecoming, for sure.
(the 'business' side of stuff is not terribly interesting for a majority of people reading this, but if you have a special interest in such goings on, then feel free to drop us a line at info@entershikari.com for further insight).
We all have nothing but the utmost respect for the people and gratitude for the time spent working with Atlantic/Warners around the world, but sometimes cultures clash and the bits don't quite fit together and the way forward now feels clearer and brighter than it has for a long time and everyone is super excited and enthusiastic for what is to come.
